Lauren’s equipment that enables her to overcome her disability

Settling in to work and using the equipment:

Once I had received my equipment Andrea (the Office Manager) and I set about installing all of this on to my laptop. Then a couple of days later the scripting man came in to work and made some changes to Jaws to enable to me successfully use the database. Also my trainer came in and enabled me to do my work to the best of my ability.

The Access to work scheme for partially sighted Lauren

Access to work:

The access to work scheme is a great scheme but it takes a fair amount of time to set up. When I received my job offer I made my initial claim. After this I was contacted 5 days later by a claims handler. From here an assessor visits you at work to see what support is required in the form of technology and travel. Grant Making Best Practice

TrustCSR recently sent a representative to attend a Grant Assessment Training Workshop with ACF Association of Charitable Foundations. It was a full day and involved much debate about the cost to charities and grant makers in terms of time when submitting and assessing grant applications. New Account Manager, Lauren Pitt joins TrustCSR

We are delighted to welcome Lauren to the team at TrustCSR.

Lauren joins TrustCSR after graduating from university with a BA Honours degree in Applied Theology. Lauren is an active fundraiser, schools ambassador and public speaker for Guide Dogs for the Blind, aiming to raise awareness of sight loss and the life changing work of Guide Dogs. Most recently Lauren successfully managed the charity’s efforts in gaining a gold fair train accreditation for their work experience offering.
